We are looking for a full time Claims Examiner to join our Damage Recovery Unit* (DRU) here in our recently formed ARMS Claims Services division, based in Aldershot, Hampshire.

     

    From day one you’ll join a team that’s in charge of reviewing losses (damage that has occurred to our rental vehicles) and assessing their recovery potential. You will be responsible for deciding if the claim is recoverable or whether it should be closed through research and verification of policies. It’s an exciting role where you’ll be making quick decisions within a 24 hour time frame.

     

    You will frequently be contacting insurers and customers. Whether this is in person, by phone or in a letter you must have excellent communication skills. Along with this you’ll need to be highly organised with excellent time management to ensure that you and your team meet the deadlines and targets.

     

    *The Damage Recovery Unit is a busy department that's responsible for reviewing & recovering all damage claims to our vehicles for the whole of the UK & Ireland.

    Responsibilities

    Key responsibilities and accountabilities will include, but are not limited to: 

    • Working damage claims within 24 hours of notification to determine recovery potential
    • Preparing files for billing through thorough research to ensure accuracy
    • Identifying liability exposure and reporting claims to third party administrators and insurers
    • Reporting accidents and damage in compliance with account instructions
    • Managing contract violation and defect claims
    • Preparing and sending initial contact letters to the most responsible parties
    • Continuously driving improvement in the service delivery to clients
    • Liaising with loss adjusters, policyholders, brokers and other third parties
    • Managing inbound and outbound calls, emails and correspondence

    • Preference will be given to candidates able to demonstrate prior experience in a similar role
