Enterprise Holdings has a new position open for a Director of Marketing to our Franchise network extending across our EMEA operations.


This is a fantastic role which will see you developing relationships and delivering value to our current and growing base of more than 40 EMEA franchise partners!


You will work to understand the unique business opportunities within each market and deliver strategic marketing consultation, guidance and leadership to our franchise partners. Ultimately, success will be won by helping to establish and grow the Enterprise, National, and Alamo brands across the EMEA region, thereby contributing to the overall success of each partner’s business!


To be successful in this role you will need to have previous end to end marketing experience, great communication skills with the ability to build relationships, comfortable working with large budgets and experience within the digital marketing environment!


This role reports into the Vice President of Marketing for Europe who is based at our European head office just outside of London.

The Director of Marketing for Franchising, EMEA will undertake a number of regular and bespoke functions to support the growth of the Enterprise family of brands throughout the region.  In particular:

  • Serve as the point person for all marketing activities throughout the region, including but not limited to the following:
    • Directing Organic Search, Paid Search, Affiliate, Web Development and Digital Teams
    • Brand Identity, Trade Dress and Store Design 
    • Creative, Media and Sponsorship
    • Loyalty and Analytics
    • PR, Corporate Communications and Brand Publicity
  • Work with partners to develop bespoke marketing plans, which outline specific strategies and tactics designed to capitalize on the opportunities identified and agreed upon for their individual markets.
  • Regular visits, meetings and phone calls with our Franchise partners to develop a strong understanding of individual market conditions, needs and opportunities.
  • Close collaboration with the internal team for Franchise Operations in Europe and the US to promote communication and  alignment between business and marketing goals and initiatives.
  • Develop local market consumer insights to share with franchise partners.
  • Direct the activities of external Marketing agencies and/or internal Graphic Artists to ensure proper agency service, as needed.
  • Set priorities and plans in accordance with market potential for growth.  
  • Sharing of best practices based across the system.
  • Identify and develop specific KPI’s against which to measure the success of all marketing activity in each market, and report results to both internal and external partners, as well as senior leadership.
  • Forecast and manage budgets through the EMEA franchise marketing fund. Provide regular reporting and communication regarding budget tracking activities to all partners.


  • Extensive experience with End-to-End Marketing
  • Prior experience in a franchise marketing is required, with hotel, airline or other travel industry experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with leading Business-to-Business and Business-to-Consumer initiatives from start to finish
  • Experience in the digital marketing spectrum from web development to digital acquisition channels (SEO, PPC, Affiliate, etc.) is highly desired
  • Fluency, both verbal and written, in English is required
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain client relationships and business contacts
  • Be innovative and creative, and have the ability to easily understand defined audiences
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong, proven project/time management skills – projects delivered on time and on budget
  • Able to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment with capacity to manage multiple projects
  • 2nd language skills are desirable but not essential for this position

LocationThis role requires extensive travel to meet regularly with EMEA franchise partners. Our EU head office is based in London, UK.
