We have an immediate vacancy for a Part Qualified Accountant based in Aldershot within a new division of Enterprise Rent-a-Car,  (ARMS Business Solutions*)The Business Management Department interacts and supports operating groups across the UK for key Shared Service functions. The department supports 8 separate Business Units hosting approx. 690 employees currently in 4 different office locations (Egham, Dartford, Aldershot & Sheffield) including approx. 230 homeworkers.

*ARMS Business Solutions is the newly created division responsible for ARMS Business Services and ARMS Claims Services which is responsible for a number of key business areas – namely our credit and subscriber hire/repair business as well as our IT services covered by our recently acquired companies in CAPS, BMS and GATES. By combining our technology and insurance services under a single division, we have created a dynamic and comprehensive technology solution for our insurance and collision repair partners, as well as strengthened our mobility and replacement models for the future. 


 The areas of responsibility for this person include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Upholding fiduciary responsibility by providing accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Financial statement and balance sheet schedule reconciliation and investigation as needed
  • Acting as a business partner to senior group management to improve operations, provide useful reporting, and analyze and interpret trends to support cost control and add value to the business.
  • Accounts receivables adjustments and investigation 
  • Perform and oversee assessments of ARMS Business Solutions internal control environment
  • Maintain a culture of ethical practice that demonstrates Enterprise core values
  • Monitor risks in our business and maintain a system of strong internal controls
  • Work with departments to improve efficiencies in their operations and support them in group initiatives


  • Accounting/Finance or similar degree and/or equivalent professional experience
  • Working towards accounting certification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA (or equivalent) desirable e.g. part qualified, finalist or passed finalist
  • Experience of working in either a management accounting department or accountancy practice preferred
  • Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
  • A proven ability to lead, train and develop employees
  • Strong desire to become a Business Manager
  • A solid understanding of business and the impact the Business Management department can make on it
  • Excellent problem solving, communication & time management skills
  • Detail orientation and strong work ethic
  • Ability to meet deadlines and think independently
  • Ability to plan, organize and direct a team
  • Proven track record of building effective working relationships at all levels
  • Solid PC skills, Microsoft Word and Excel at a minimum (Knowledge of Access a plus)
